Advanced Disposal Sues Gwinnett For $40 Million
May 5th, 2009 | By Editor | Category: All Posts, GwinnettAdvanced Disposal Services filed a federal suit Monday, 05/04/09, for damages in excess of $40 million dollars. This follows an almost identical suit brought forward by Waste Pro earlier this year. Both suits name Gwinnett County and Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful as defendants.
This is a no win situation for Gwinnett County and for all of us residents.
At some point a judgment is going to be made against Gwinnett County for a large and very significant amount of money. Of course this means that ultimately it will come out of our collective pockets.
Regardless of what savings Gwinnettians might currently be experiencing with respects to garbage collection fees, these legal actions, in short order, will cost us all a lot more money than what we had been paying.
