Valerie Robinett, currently an assistant principal at Ivy Creek Elementary, will be Mountain Park’s new principal effective June 1. She replaces current principal Debbie Allred, who is retiring at the end of the school year. Robinett has taught at several Gwinnett schools since 1998.

Changes to the temporary signs section of the Gwinnett County Sign Ordinance were approved by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on March 25, 2008. These changes include adding a section to allow for graduation banners.
